Wow! That turned out great. I would buy that hat if EFF released it.

If they released it I would buy like 4 more! But the whole $100 dollars and 3 month wait makes 1 enough for me hahah

I thought they did the El Paso cap a few years ago. It looks familiar.

They have a good sale going on right now. I had nothing to do with them making the Stockton Ports 8-panel either... Wink

EFF did have that hat for sale 4 or 5 years ago. I remember choosing between the Pelicans and El Paso. Chose the Pelicans and by the time I saved enough to buy another the EP hat was gone. I think they only did one run of it and haven't reproduced it since.

I seem to be late for this show but I have a sizeable collection of both 5950s and EFF caps.

Similarities: the sizing, IMO, is very similar, assuming of course New Era gets the sizing right. (NE has an, er, problem with consistency.) Also, your standard 6-panel EFF cap fits like a NE low-crowner, with one big exception: NE LC caps mold to your head better. I'm not knocking EFF, but their caps' front crowns tend to stick up in three places, where the panels meet the seams. Don't know why this is, but I kind of dislike it.

Differences: The 8-panel caps are little more than beanies. I really like the attention to historical accuracy, but they are not very pragmatic caps, and the floppy brim, let's face it, looks odd and rather silly. And the overall construction of the 8-panels and 6-panels are quite different than NE's. EFF caps look more crafted, as opposed to NE's assembly-line hats.

Also, the blue on the Royals caps bled onto the "M"? Excuse me, but aren't caps supposed to, like, be rain-proof to some extent? This is very disappointing.

I tend to wear my NE caps in the summer and EFF caps in the cooler months.

I nu-capped mine.......now the crowns don't have that lumpy look.......not sure if it will last, but they fit much better now.

They are a custom made by Ebbets for a shop in Japan called US. There are 2 versions listed on their online shop here:

http://shop.us2000.jp/shopbrand/011/001/X/

They are standard 6 panels with a short brim. The difference between the old and new version is that the newest version comes with a concho for the button, as opposed to the older version that had no button at all.

I already emailed US about purchasing one, but they said they do not sell to overseas customers. Crying or Very sad

Recently saw someone wearing a Hartford Chiefs hat from EFF. Cool cap. I talked to him about it for a while. I totally want one, but I don't know how bad. For now I'll pass, but it was refreshing to see someone wear a different cap around. Especially something with local flavor.

Federal League hats will be on their site on Friday. They look pretty good in their Instagram.

Almost none of those hats are replicas of what the Feds actually wore...but nonetheless, I'm gonna get that STL Terriers cap

Got an Atlanta Crackers hat for christmas and it finally came in. Love their authentic hats. Has anyone tried their grounds crew jackets? Been thinking about getting one now that they're on sale.

If you're taller than 6ft I was suggest getting the "tall" version of the grounds crew jackets, as they are basically Dickies work jackets whose waist is just below the belt.

I have a Terriers jacket (pattern developing here) and it looks great.

How do they fit in comparison to Dickies jackets size wise? Should I get the same size or what?

I am 6 feet and 175 lbs. I have an 'XL RG' size and it fits fine.
