RANGERS TBTC ERROR?

Hi All,
I have a couple of Rangers TBTC hats from 2014 (I believe). They are USA made Authentic Collection, with the on field tagging, black underbill and band and even have the new era sticker on the bottom of the bill. The issue is that the crown of the cap is royal blue, the bill is red and the block "T" logo is red with white outline. Basically, it looks like the late 80's cap with the red bill from the early 80's model.

Most of the early 80's models are this way, but they have the white "T" logo with red trim. Does anyone know if these were actually worn by the Rangers at anytime or if they might have just been a mistake? Thank you....
