They went lighter right? |
Dark Royal (Dodgers, Rangers) to Light Royal (Royals, Jays).
There was discussion of going to or having a light navy alt inline with the TBCT they did a few years back with the light navy hat and white C. _________________ It's always a better day when you're in a hat |

Yes. At least one year of caps after the switch away from Cool Base were still darker blue as well. I know because I just stumbled across one in a local Lids and the shade of blue is beautiful against the Cubs red and white.
If you're looking for the old shade, it wouldn't hurt to dig through the offerings at your own Lids including a size up in case you find a Cool Base. The darker blue stands out like a sore thumb around all the brighter blue so it shouldn't take you long to determine whether they have any. |

I wish they did. Wearing the TBTC today but it doesn't have too much life left. |

Yeah I have some older caps for the Cubs pre-2010 back to the mid-1980's and it's very noticeable with the caps side-by-side. I have a poly 5950 that's from sometime in probably the 2008-10 era, and it is very noticably darker when placed right beside my 2016 World Series cap. Honestly I think the new lighter blue looks better. Whenever I wear my older caps now they all look too dark to me for a bit before I get used to them. |
