Had 3 caps stretched out today at New Era Flagship. All size 7 stretched to 7 1/4.

Will post an update if hat has reverted back to it's original shape but I don't think it will because the headband rubber elastic appears stretched out (but not torn).

All 3 caps fit lovely, that machine is awesome I wish I can own one. Laughing

One is 100% polyester and the other two are 100% wool.

Very curious about the polyester one. The Wool one will most likely stay where it's at for a while since it's an organic material.

I just got my hat stretcher today, so I'm testing this out right now on my Braysers cap, but I'll have it get a legit stretching at the LA Flagship store this summer.

It varies from cap to cap. Sometimes it holds even after one stretching, sometimes only after several stretchings.

Patman said it best, it varies from cap to cap.

It's amazing how much the new era elastic headband can take a beating.

Most definitely!

--------------------------

The new era flagship machine stretching will also shape your hat oval at the same time and not bend the bill as much, but it will damage the stickers, hologram, gold sticker etc because the clamps locks on the bill. The hat will come out perfectly oval. Almost the entire hat is steamed, so it takes a few minutes to dry up and cool off.

Update:

All caps shrunk back to their original sizes. Sad

All fit tight again.

Fkkkk that sucks - I've been holding out hope that would work for a few hats i have Sad have you been wearing them lots of anything?

This again goes to show why its better to buy a size up then a size below if you're in between sizes.

Nah I didn't wear any of them I have too many other caps I wear. Very Happy

They shrunk back on their own. And my home is room temperature no excessive heat or anything.

And you right, always buy a size up! Took me awhile to figure that out.

Stopped into the flagship store and had my 7 1/2 stretched up a size. The hat is a polyester china made, but great quality. Anyways the hat fits great and they did it for free, Maybe cause I bought 2 other caps. I recomend it!!! I thought I was going to have to give the cap away.

Just curious if anyone else has had their cap stretched on the "blocking machine"? Do they still shrink? Has anyone tried going up more then 1 size?

Recently had a hat stretched up one size. It stretched a little, but need to take it back to do it again.

BTW, if your an insider member, blocking/stretching/refreshing is free.

Planning a trip to the Flagship store in LA in a few weeks. I called the store today and the guy on the phone said they won't stretch anything larger than a 7 1/2. Anyone else heard this?

Flagship in Miami has three machines, all different sizes. They probably have the 7 5/8 up machine broken.
