Okay I'm new to this but here goes. I've been collecting on fields for 20 years, and am heartbroken 2 see the cap I love being made in China. It's almost immpossible 2 go 2 lids and get a US made cap anymore so I have 2 order online. The only made in china cap I have is a Yankees 2009 inagural ws patch hat as they all were made in china. I will never buy another one though as all of my other caps last for years and this one made it a month. It's now my yard mowing, oil changing, truck fixing hat as it is falling apart litterally. The inside sweat band is coming apart because of wearing it in the rain, and the stitching on the front panels have popped loose. Made in china on fields are crap period. I'm glad I only paid $16 for it on mlb.com. Just my experience. Mad

It shocks me how different an On Field made in the US is from its Chinese counterpart.

The first time I tried one on I thought it was a knock-off except I was standing in a Lids.

If you want US made check out minorleagues.com, they try to exclusively stock domestic made 5950's and the lady that runs the order desk is exceptionally helpful.

I have noticed the lack in quality from a US made Fitted from the vast being produced in China. I've been collecting for close to 20 yrs and have over 200 hats in my collection. And I am definately aware that they are being poorly made now.

Fakes & Variants is another ISSUE! There is so much counterfit sh*t out there nowadays. Even a friend of my sons has been coming over and I noticed his hat game was on as he has a different one on everyday. I asked my son where he buys his hats from and my son (who is an avid collector himself) said "Dad they are fakes he buys them at $7.95 a piece, he buys 20 hats pays $20 shipping and gets them in a week." After that I started looking at his hats closer and notices all the flaws (crooked logos, Material seems rough. However a few you can't even tell.)

You pay for what you get people. Don't get me wrong there is always a deal out there especially if you are a collector who goes to a neighborhood store if your fortunate enough to live in a big city like LA, NYC, Chicago, ATL. I buy a ton of my stuff from Lee's Sneakers in Brooklyn and they ship them to me in Florida. Peep Lee's page on FB trust me you'll like. There's also http://4ucaps.com/_store/

Sorry for the book but had to vent.

Hi there!,

I live not so far from the states, in Aruba and ive been buying exclusively chinese made hats cause they dont sel the U.S. made ones here.
The reason is that the stores here can only buy em from Panama, and not directly from the U.S. without buying them retail, i would guess cause they come from china to the panama canal and leave em there for distribution and obviously the prices are lower to sell to stores from there then from the U.S..
So far my china made caps are from good quality, reason for that i guess is that New Era exports the majority of the good ones made in china and keep the less good ones for local U.S. sales.(only a hypothesis).
And latley i found these horible ones made in Vietnam, thats a good topic we should adress later on!
Ill put on some pics for u guys to judge later on.

Tnx,
