It seems like an early coop collection New Era did in the late 70's/early 80's . Retail replicas seems to have the squarish brim. I do have a 77 Giants replica with the same characteristics and I've seen a few of those replicas on ebay as well. _________________ Buy AmericaN!

It's definitely a real hat from the 70's or 80's, no way there would be a fake that elaborately done with the leather sweatband and correct tagging _________________ My collection https://www.flickr.com/photos/135974185@N07/albums |

Jesus, that Astros cap looks downright nasty. I can't imagine letting that thing touch my head.
Then again, this photo he chose to upload with the listing is rather persuasive:

I was under the impression that this designed stopped in 2006 prior to poly existing. This seller has it marked as wool but it has a black sweatband and grey under (both don't have the ne embossed bottom button cap)., As well as other elements making it look like a 2007-curent era. |

Lots of danger signs on that one. You're right that the material/sweatband/underbrim are all off. Also has the run-on text on the taping that a counterfeit I once bought had. And someone else would need to confirm this but that hologram sticker does not look legit. |

Closeups of the poly on that are brutal. Reminds me of the knockoff I bought on eBay when I had just started collecting. |
